A little to know about me: as far as being a sister, and as much as that has kept me grounded, I can't say that it is more humbling than being from where I was raised. I don't know who kid be today if not a New Yorker, first. Though I can't say I stayed in Brooklyn for the entire duration of my 22 years of life. I had the unlucky pleasure of moving dozens of times. whether bit babe to a new school, the next block over, or a new state entirely. Through this I made friends that i'd never see again. I might have lost more than I gained in some departments. Sometimes that's not what's important. I've learned that if you can see through the trials and tribulations, then the road ahead is what you picture it to be. I learned to find comfort in different kinds of people, even if we share no common interests. I learned to listen, and find the beauty in a disagreement. To appreciate life's complications. Because when life gets too quiet, when you stop moving, it's easy to let the world move you instead. Enjoy the speed of the city and let it pace you. Soak in the stillness of the south for a little while. I learned not to leave pieces of my heart wherever I go, and instead to make more room. The most crucial thing to know about me and who I am as an employee, is I enjoy applying all that I've learned to my work, and I intend to keep learning.
